It’s been a tumultuous couple of weeks at my house. Nothing time cannot heal, but pandemonium just the same. I mention it only because my pre-order of the audiobook for Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer, narrated by Em Eldridge arrived on Tuesday, Aug. 29.

Evie Sage’s sunshine is exactly what I needed. Hannah Nicole Maehrer’s cheerful storytelling (with gruesome details!) is the pace I was craving. Em Eldridge’s slightly husky lilting voice comforted me when I needed it most.

I definitely recommend it.
