QOTW: Jorge Luis Borges

Well said.

“I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.

Jorge Luis Borges

Quote of the Week

When I was writing When Ivy Met Adam, my sophomore novel based on the Bible story of Eve in Genesis, I did a lot research on Paradise.

This quote popped up often. I love it.

Some of my favorite memories are of visiting the library as a child.

My favorite library is the downtown Central Library in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When I first moved to Tulsa, the library was closed. The renewed Central Library reopened on October 1, 2016 — timed perfectly with my moving to an apartment in easy walking distance! — with 16 meeting spaces, a Maker Space with 3-D printing station and a recording studio; a children’s area with play stations and book bins for easy access; a Digital Literacy Lab; a Learning and Creativity Center; a Children’s Garden; an actual real-live Starbucks coffee shop, and a parking garage. I miss it greatly.

Do you have a favorite library? Favorite library memories?
