Nobody’s perfect

In a world that constantly feels dominated by giant tech conglomerates, I find myself grappling with the imperfections of the platforms we rely on to connect. With TikTok’s ban, and Meta’s growing ickiness, it’s hard not to feel disillusioned. Social media often feels like a game where we’re the product, not the players.

I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on where I want to invest my energy and how I can stay connected with all of you in a way that feels authentic. To those of you who take the time to read my blog and subscribe to my newsletter—thank you. Truly. Your support means the world, and it keeps me motivated to keep creating, even when I’m questioning where to share it.

One platform I’ve decided to try posting on more often is Bluesky. It’s far from perfect—honestly, what platform isn’t?—but it represents something I value deeply: independence. In a conglomerate-driven world, that feels like a little bit of rebellion, doesn’t it? Like me, it’s trying to carve out its own space, messy edges and all.

If you’re on Bluesky, come say hi! I’d love to connect there and create a corner of the internet that feels a bit less…corporate. If you’re not, don’t worry—this blog and my newsletter aren’t going anywhere.

At the end of the day, none of us is perfect, and neither are the platforms we use. But as long as we’re trying, adapting, and finding ways to stay connected, that’s what really matters.

What about you? Are you exploring new platforms or rethinking how you engage with social media? I’d love to hear your thoughts—drop a comment or shoot me a message. Let’s keep the conversation going!
