New moon in Pisces

I’m trying in 2025 to embrace my magic. These witchy blog posts? They’re really just me trying to find my way in this world—relearning to trust my intuition, follow my creativity, and see where this journey takes me. If you’re on a similar path, welcome. Let’s figure this out together. 💙✨

On February 27, we enter the Dark of the Moon—the final exhale before the New Moon on Friday. The Dark of the Moon is a time to sit with your shadow, acknowledge what needs releasing, and clear out stagnant energy.

🌑 What thoughts, habits, or fears are weighing you down?
🌑 What emotions need to be felt and released before you step into a new cycle?
🌑 What are you finally ready to let go of?

(In case you’re wondering, I’ve been focusing on letting go of fear of failure AND fear of success. It be like that sometimes.)

Instead of rushing into “what’s next,” give yourself space to let go of the old before calling in the new.

Some Dark Moon Ritual ideas for releasing and clearing:

  • Journaling: Write down what you’re carrying that no longer serves you. Burn it safely or rip it up as a symbolic release.

  • Water Cleansing: Take a salt bath, shower with intention, or simply wash your hands, visualize negativity flowing away.

  • Light a black or white candle and sit in stillness. Let whatever emotions come up be felt—no judgment, no resistance.

With the weight of the past cycle released, the New Moon in Pisces tomorrow opens the door to something new. But this isn’t the kind of New Moon that asks for rigid goal-setting—it asks you to trust, dream, and follow what feels right.

Pisces is the sign of intuition, creativity, and emotional flow, inviting you to surrender to possibility and believe in your dreams.

🌑 What is your soul craving right now?
🌑 Where can you soften and trust the process?
🌑 What dream feels too big, too wild, too “impossible”—and how can you start believing in it anyway?

This is a powerful New Moon for creatives, intuitives, and healers. If you’ve been feeling disconnected from your art, your writing, or your purpose, this is your moment to reconnect with what moves you.

Some New Moon ritual ideas to set intentions:

  • Light a purple candle.

  • Pisces is a water sign, so take a ritual bath, wash your hands with intention, or even whisper your dreams into a cup of tea before drinking it.

  • Make something. Write, paint, sing, move—create with the intention of feeling, not perfecting.

Journal prompts for intuitive New Moon intentions:

  • What am I ready to embrace now that I’ve cleared the past?

  • What creative idea or dream am I ready to trust and nurture?

  • What would I do if I fully believed in my intuition and inner wisdom?

This isn’t a New Moon for pressure or perfection. It’s a time to plant seeds, trust your inner knowing, and let inspiration lead the way.

So tell me—what are you releasing under this Dark of the Moon? And what dream are you surrendering to under this New Moon? ✨🌑💙
