Mixing things up

My hearts, I find myself behind the 8 ball a little. I’ve been having some trouble finishing When Ivy Met Adam—even though I have the best book coach, supportive friends and family, a proofreader on standby. So, I’ve moved her launch date back a month to April 25. Pray for me that’s enough time!

I wrote the above in my March 12 newsletter and later that evening, I took a blowtorch and a pair of pliers to my book. 😉 Figuratively, I promise. Now, When Ivy Met Adam doesn’t look anything like what you read here on the blog.

Here’s a quick rundown of the changes I made recently.

  • Chapter 4 is now the Prologue and Chapter 5 is now Chapter 1.

  • The previous Prologue is now a dream sequence/flashback in the new Chapter 5.

  • The old Chapter 1 (Ali breaks Ivy’s heart) is now Chapter 9.

I also decided that this book will have two parts.

  • PART I will be the fifteen chapters I’ve workshopped here on the blog.

  • PART II will be all new content that starts with a massive storm that traps our lovers on O’ahu and ends with Ivy working for an LGBT+ nonprofit in Florida.

I’m very excited to get this edited and proofread and available on Kindle Unlimited no later than April 25. 🤞

My heart is filled with gratitude for my book coach Sarah Henne and my beta readers who are patiently waiting for an edited copy. Please feel free to keep sending me edits and ideas. Your feedback means the world to me. 💕
