Kindle revisited
I posted about this last year — this is an update with audiobook info (!) and both of my novels.
How it works
Are you curious about how Kindle Unlimited works? For both readers and writers?
Book Riot wrote a great article (complete with screenshots!) about how it works for readers.
Among the many services and subscriptions offered by Amazon, one that should pique the interest of avid readers is Kindle Unlimited. But with all the different ways we can get and consume our books nowadays, it can be hard to keep track and weigh the pros and cons of the services that are out there. Today, I’m here to help answer the question: How does Kindle Unlimited work (and is it right for you)?
In the interest of supporting indie authors, I thought you might also want to know how to find KU titles and it works for authors.
When you subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, you’ll see a badge next to an enrolled Kindle eBook indicating it is available in KU. You can also visit Amazon's Kindle Unlimited page to see Kindle eBooks that are available. Or just peruse the Story Origin KU promos I include on my weekly newsletters!
Authors receive a share of the KDP Select Global Fund as individual customers read pages of a Kindle eBook for the first time.
In other words, we get paid when you actually read the pages of our books.
Jennifer J. Coldwater on Kindle Unlimited
Holland, My Heart and When Ivy Met Adam are both on Kindle Unlimited. So, if you’ve read either there, or you plan to, or you’re even just thinking about it: Thank you for your generous support!
And there are audiobooks!
One of my favorite creators on Instagram, Tiffany Porter makes these videos that show you how to find Kindle Unlimited audiobooks. She actually makes a ton of videos about spicy romance audiobooks — check out her stuff!
Here are some titles I’ve enjoyed on “Books with Narration in Kindle Unlimited”:
In the Likely Event by Rebecca Yarros, narrated by Carly Robins* & Teddy Hamilton
Same Time Next Year by Tessa Bailey, narrated by William LeRoy & Carmen Vine
The Stopover (The Miles High Club, Book 1) by T L Swan, narrated by Sebastian York & CJ Bloom* — and actually all four in this series are included!
That Second Chance (Getting Lucky, Book 1) by Meghan Quinn, narrated by William LeRoy & Reese Covington — I read the first two books in this series. Very cute!
*CJ Bloom?! Yes, that CJ Bloom. She narrated When Ivy Met Adam! It’s not on KU with narration, but it is available on Audible!
