Some of these books have only one or two reviews. Some are just shy of the 50 reviews needed to catch the algorithm’s attention!

Please help spread the word about these stories. Reviews can be as short as 15 words. You don’t have to say much — every Amazon review helps!

How to Write a Quick Review

First, adapted from Grammarly, a template.

• A hook

• Info about the book

• Quick plot summary

• Your praise and/or critique

Depending on the site where you’re writing your review, you might also include information about the book and a rating (stars, thumbs-up, etc.). Some places people expect to find reader reviews include the following:

• Booksellers

  • Audible

  • Amazon

  • Apple

  • Google Play

  • Barnes & Noble

• Goodreads

• Bookbub

• Social media

  • Bookstagram

  • BookTok

  • YouTube

• Your own blog, of course

Know that all authors—even the most successful—rely on reviews. I cannot speak for them, but know that I am immensely grateful for your feedback.

Drop your recommendations (self-promo is ALWAYS welcome!) in the comments. I love to read contemporary romance, fantasy, sci-fi, YA, smut, and chick-lit, but I'll take any indie recommendations. I’m open to new things. I’d like to read them, and I'd like to help spread the word.
