Book Club Discussion Questions

No one loves a book club as much as I do. I’m currently only in three—but I’ve been in as many as five simultaneously. I love to read, what can I say?

Holland, My Heart Book Club Discussion Questions

•  Holland, My Heart starts in North Carolina, spends most of its time in Los Angeles, then jets to Mexico City and Palermo. In what ways did the settings enhance or detract from the story?

• In what ways do Holland and Kai develop during the course of the book? What triggered these changes, and were they believable?

• What did you love (or hate) about Holland’s relationship with Kai? Why?

• What did you think of Holland’s relationship with Naomi? Ximena? Micah? Zahra?

• In what ways did reading Holland, My Heart change your thinking about the Bible book of Ruth?

• What aspects of the story, if any, are reflected in the cover design? (And is it super obvious I designed it myself?)
